    Transformation

Daily meditation  Monday 1st of June 2009

"We eat, and you could say that as we’re eating we’re transforming the earth… Why, yes, have you ever thought about the deeper meaning behind the act of eating?
It is earth that humans eat, earth that’s somewhat refined, of course, in the form of vegetables and fruit, but earth all the same. They absorb this earth, digest it and then reject it. They are continually absorbing, digesting and rejecting… But beyond this physical, mechanical process, which everyone is familiar with, there are so many exchanges taking place on the subtle planes! The matter that human beings absorb provides them with the elements it contains, and, in its turn, it receives something from them, from their feelings, thoughts and aspirations. This is why the earth is no longer the same as it was in the distant past; it is much more evolved, subtler and more intelligent, because all the creatures that have come to incarnate on the earth have worked with it. And this is how it will become luminous and crystalline, thanks to the spirit of the people who have worked with it."

and bright; may we cherish no

    ill feelings toward anyone.

    Proceed with Caution

Daily meditation  Saturday 30th of May 2009

"Why must we reflect deeply before we take action? Because action releases forces, and once these forces are unleashed they do not stop half-way but keep going right to the end. Imagine you are in the mountains, and an enormous rock just above you is about to tumble down the slope: it’s up to you whether you let it be or hasten its fall. If you set it in motion, it is then impossible to stop it: it will crush you and many others with you. And if you opened the lock gates on a canal, try stopping the water then!
You are always in control of whether or not to act, but as soon as you decide to act, the forces you set free are out of your hands. When agitators start a riot, they very quickly lose control of it. This is why it is said, ‘Who sows the wind reaps the storm’, and the storm can carry away the very person who provoked it. Before we give the signal for war by what we say or how we look at someone or by what we write in a letter, we have every power, but then it’s too late, and we become mere onlookers, and often even victims."

    Prayer

    WORD FOR THE DAY
    Friday, May. 29

Prayer is an act of love,

    words are not needed.

    Even if sickness distracts

    thoughts, all that is needed

    is the will to love.

    Endurance

Daily meditation Thursday 28th of May 2009

"Much of the suffering you have to endure comes, of course, from outside yourself. And yet, the suffering inflicted on you for which you are not directly responsible is, all the same, partly your responsibility. Why? Because you have not learned how to make yourself immune to it.
If you are so vulnerable, it is because the negative elements sent you by the outside world strike a chord in you. And it may even be that the harm is magnified because of the impurities and darkness you harbour. If you tried to foster purity and light within yourself, not only would the evil be neutralized but the good you receive would become greater, too. Why, yes, if you are unable to really feel the good that comes to you every day from the visible and invisible worlds, it means that all sorts of opaque matter in you are blocking it. You see, then, how repelling evil, as well as attracting and preserving the good, all depend on you."

    WORD FOR THE DAY
    Thursday, May. 28

Talk about the joys of the

    unexpected, can they compare

    Nature's breath...................

Daily meditation Wednesday 27th of May 2009

"Flowers, trees, oceans, even stones… everything in nature breathes. You’ll say, ‘But I can’t imagine the breathing process existing outside of the lungs!’ Why not? Life doesn’t necessarily need the same organs for the same functions to be fulfilled. Look at a tree: it has no lungs, stomach, liver or intestines, and yet it breathes, it takes in food, it assimilates, eliminates and reproduces. And it often lives longer than humans! It withstands bad weather; it gives fragrant flowers and fruits. Whereas, with all their abilities, humans are so fragile, the slightest thing can annihilate them.
Most people have the wrong ideas about nature. As far as they are concerned, to be really alive and intelligent means having to be made like them. But nature couldn’t care less about their opinions and their systems. For nature, it’s not necessary to have lungs to breathe or a brain to be intelligent. It has created such a multitude of life forms, there will be no end to our discoveries."

    Simplicity

    WORD FOR THE DAY
    Wednesday, May. 27

What we would like to do is

change the world -- make it

a little simpler for people to

    feed, clothe, and shelter

    themselves as God intended

    for them to do.

    Consecration

Daily meditation  Monday 25th of May 2009

"Consecration is a ritual whereby you put an object under the protection of a spiritual entity. But if you wish to consecrate an object, you must begin by exorcising it, since it has already received the influence of the people who have touched it and the events that have taken place around it, leaving behind fluidic traces, pure and not so pure. These fluidic traces prevent your thoughts from permeating the object, as they form a sort of barrier, a screen that blocks them out.
Once the object has been exorcised by prayers or even incense, you can proceed to consecrate it: you place it under the influence of a heavenly power, which permeates it with light, setting it apart; it’s as if there were a notice on it saying ‘Evil spirits keep out’, but heavenly entities can come and take possession of it and use it to help you in your spiritual work."

    Mercy

    WORD FOR THE DAY
    Monday, May. 25

    Ever let mercy outweigh all

else in you. Let our compassion

be a mirror where we may see

    in ourselves that likeness and

    that true image which belong

to the Divine nature and Divine

    essence.

    Respect

Daily meditation 24th of May 2009

"Everything the Bible says is correct, not perhaps by the standards of the intellect, which always keeps to the letter of the text, but correct where the soul and spirit are concerned. This is the meaning of St. Paul’s words in his Second Letter to the Corinthians: ‘The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.’ The truths expressed in the Bible were experienced by exceptional souls. If we are to understand these truths, we must endeavour to follow these souls up to the realms they themselves reached, that is, to see things as they saw them. If we are to interpret, for example, the parables Jesus used, we need a different kind of science, the science of symbols, which can only be acquired by exercising the faculties of the soul and spirit.
We will understand the sacred texts of all religions when our being is on the same wavelength as those who wrote them; otherwise, their language, their true language, will remain foreign to us. We must feel what they felt, live what they lived, that is, rise to their level of consciousness. Then the light will really burst forth! But this higher level of consciousness can only be achieved if we become more mindful and respectful of the laws of the spiritual world."

    Energy Balance

Daily meditation Saturday 23rd of May 2009

"The spiritual life is an intense one, and there may come a moment, after doing exercises in concentration and meditation, when you feel as if you’re about to explode. It’s true, your nervous system may not be able to resist certain stresses, so you must learn to allow the vibrations to increase progressively and gradually as you work.
The human organism, the brain in particular, is capable of resisting extreme tension, but only if this tension does not occur abruptly. It’s like an engine that has to be allowed to warm up slowly so the whole thing doesn’t explode. When you sense your brain is struggling to cope with too much psychic or spiritual activity, why not do some physical work, or even just walk about, so that some of this energy gets sent to your arms and legs? Your balance will be restored, if you are able to direct the energy elsewhere for a while."

    Community

Daily meditation Friday 22nd of May 2009

"Most people spend their time providing for their day-to-day life, starting a family, enjoying their leisure time, and so on. From time to time, of course, they do something for society, but in general they take care of their own affairs and work for themselves. And yet, whether they like it or not, they live in a community, and if troubles erupt in this community, their personal possessions, even their life, may no longer be safe.
To focus on one’s own interests, on one’s own family and possessions, is not therefore the best way to safeguard them, since there is always the risk that events will take place in society to sweep away everything in their path. History provides us with numerous examples. Let’s be clear about this: individualism is not a worthwhile solution for anyone. The only worthwhile solution is for each person to endeavour to do something to improve collective life. Provided that happens, then, yes, each individual will be safe."

    Atchooooooooo.........bless you

Daily meditation Wednesday 20th of May 2009

"A nation’s mentality is revealed by the set expressions its people use in particular situations. Let’s just take the example of sneezing. When someone sneezes, the Swiss say, ‘One hundred thousand!’ One hundred thousand what? One hundred thousand francs’ private income. The French say, ‘To your love life!’ – as long as they know the person well enough, of course; otherwise, they don’t permit themselves to refer to their love life but make do with saying, ‘May your wishes come true.’ The Bulgarians say, ‘Na zdravé!’, which means ‘Good health!’
I don’t know what other nations say, but these examples are enough to show that such expressions reflect a nation’s mentality. The Swiss, who have many banks in their land, put the emphasis on money; for the French, love comes first, and for the Bulgarians it’s health above all that matters. Now, if I had to give my opinion, I would say there is one wish that exceeds all others – the wish for light. For with light you have everything: health, love, wealth, strength, wisdom…"

    WORD FOR THE DAY
    Wednesday, May. 20

    Gratitude can turn a meal

into a feast, a house into

    a home, a stranger into a

    friend. It makes sense of

    our past, brings peace

    for today, and creates a

    Esoteric science

Daily meditation  Tuesday 19th of May 2009

"Many people are interested in esoteric science without being ready for it. They quote things they have taken, here and there, from books they’ve barely understood, and they are proud to pass as astrologers, alchemists, mages and cabbalists… But the poor things don’t realize their life and whole being are just a shambles, bearing no relation to true astrology, alchemy, magic or Cabbalah. It would be better if they left all these sciences alone! It should be our everyday life that shows what we know.
By reading books, we can always gain some knowledge, of course, and even become very learned. But it’s not true knowledge. True knowledge lies in the mastery of oneself, in freeing oneself from weaknesses, in no longer being prey to constant inner conflicts. Those who possess true knowledge seek to be a luminous, benign presence wherever they go. And only when they achieve this will they really be able to benefit from esoteric science."

    The Sorcerer's apprentice

Daily meditation Monday 18th of May 2009

"As you launch into any sort of undertaking, think seriously about the nature of the forces you will be setting in motion by doing so. It is always easy to activate forces or events, but once you have done so it is difficult to direct them, to orient them, and even more difficult to contain them, when you realize you have made a mistake.
If humans were more aware of this fact, they would think more before deciding on certain changes. So many people have wanted, with the best of intentions, to shake up the way things were! But the forces they have set in motion in this way have gradually escaped their control, and eventually they themselves have been utterly crushed. In fact, the expression ‘sorcerer’s apprentice’ refers to someone who recklessly unleashes currents they are then unable to control or direct and that end up destroying them."
